Back to the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles-

I’m honored yet again to be asked to provide the poster artwork for the Anne Rice Vampire Lestat Fan Club’s 2015 Annual Halloween Ball – again this year with Anne Rice herself in attendance. This year, we went with something a little different. As Anne Rice has revived her beloved characters with the recent novel ‘The Prince Lestat’ and with more novels promised for the future, we had to rely on sybolism rather than clutter the image up with all of her beloved literary figures.

The Gathering of the Ancients –

This year, the theme of the Ball is ‘The Gathering of the Ancients’, representing the court and members of Lestat’s entourage. Representing Magnus – a rapier, Pandora – a bust, Marius – a painting of St Sebastian and a Bast to represent Khayman. As well, the heads of Maharet and Mekare frame the title.

This year special guests include goth musician Voltaire and actress Naomi Grossman of American Horror Story.
